Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon Whiskey was first released in the autumn of 2019 as an everyday bourbon in the Smoke Wagon style. It is made from a high rye mash bill. The barrels were racked on the top two floors of the warehouse and never rotated. The upper floors get hotter in summer, which makes the whiskey expand and move further into the wood. It is also non-chill-filtered, and the makers credit these choices for a bourbon that is rich and creamy beyond its years, without harsh tannins. The flavour is delicate and sweet, finishing with rye spice and a nutty edge.
