Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon Whiskey (46.3%)

Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon is the base bourbon of the Smoke Wagon range, bottled at 46.25% ABV (92.5 proof) and non-chill-filtered. Nevada H&C Distilling Co. blends high-rye bourbon sourced from MGP in Indiana. The blend combines younger barrels of four to five years, which bring rye punch, with slightly older barrels for texture and sweetness. All are aged on the top two floors of the Las Vegas warehouse. The nose has honey, vanilla custard, raisins and apple, then light oak char, peppery rye and baking spice. The palate is smooth and creamy, with caramel, apple and toffee giving way to white pepper, clove and citrus zest. The finish is medium and drying, with caramel and a touch of tobacco and rye spice.
