Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey

Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof is a straight rye whiskey bottled at barrel proof, with the strength varying by batch and written by hand on each label alongside the batch details. It is made from a high-rye mash and matured for a minimum of two years in new charred American oak. The nose is cracked black pepper and dried rye grain over aged oak, vanilla bean and toasted tobacco, with cinnamon bark, leather and baked cherry. On the palate come pepper, rye bread crust and herbs, then black cherry, fig and brown sugar, with a touch of cocoa bitterness. The finish is long, with char, peppercorn heat and mellow oak.
