Smokeye Hill Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 46.5%)

Smokeye Hill Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a straight bourbon bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, then barrelled, aged and bottled in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after at least five years in new American white oak barrels of 30 and 53 gallons, with char levels from number 2 to number 5. The four-grain mash bill is led by heirloom blue corn, alongside yellow corn, rye and malted barley, and the brand claims it as the first bourbon made with heirloom blue corn. It is non-chill-filtered. On the nose there is caramelised brown sugar, vanilla, tobacco and oak. The palate layers vanilla, caramel, honeysuckle, dark fruit, cacao and spice, and it finishes smooth and long with vanilla and nougat.
