Smooth Ambler – Big Level Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Big Level is a wheated bourbon bottled at 50% in a 75cl bottle. It was the first whiskey that Smooth Ambler made entirely in-house, first released in 2018. It is mashed, distilled, aged, proofed and bottled at the distillery in West Virginia's Greenbrier Valley. The mash bill is 71% corn, 21% wheat and 8% malted barley. The whiskey is aged for five years or more in #4-char 53-gallon barrels and bottled without chill filtration. The nose is described as toffee and pancake batter. Warmth builds through the mid-palate, and the finish is lingering, with a pecan-pie character.
