Smooth Ambler – Contradiction Bourbon (75cl)

Contradiction is a blend of straight bourbons from West Virginia's Smooth Ambler, sold in a 75cl bottle. It brings together two different whiskeys: a wheated bourbon distilled and aged by Smooth Ambler, made from corn, wheat and malted barley, and a sourced bourbon made from corn, rye and malted barley. The blend contains a range of ages, and the majority of the whiskey is more than nine years old. The nose is oak, dried cherries, vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate the wheat adds sweetness, the rye adds spice, and there is a touch of leather. The finish is smooth and pleasant, helped by the whiskey's viscosity.
