Smooth Ambler Old Scout Rye 8 Year Old Single Barrel #1125 (75cl)

A single barrel rye from Smooth Ambler's Old Scout range, the label the West Virginia producer uses for whiskey sourced from other distilleries. Barrel #1125 was distilled on 11 March 2015 and is eight years old. It is bottled at natural cask strength, without dilution or chill filtration. The nose is bold rye spice with dried fruit, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate it is full and concentrated, with rye pepper, caramel, dark cherry and wood spice. The finish is long, warm and led by spice.
