Sonoma Wheat Whiskey is a Distiller's Edition release from Sonoma Distilling Company. The mash bill is 80% wheat, grown in California and Canada, and 20% malted rye grown in the UK.
It was aged for 3 years in used American oak barrels, then finished for about eight months in Cognac barrels.
The whiskey is rich and creamy, with rye spice, while the Cognac barrels add stonefruit, toffee and vanilla.
