This is an 8 year old Islay single malt from the independent bottler South Star Spirits, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. The distillery behind it is not named.
It was vatted from 10 hogsheads, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021, with an outturn of 2148 bottles. The whisky is peated and was matured in bourbon casks.
The nose is elegant and rich with peat smoke. On the palate come peat smoke, vanilla and salt, and the finish brings peat, iodine and a little cask influence.
