South Star Spirits 2011 10 Year Old Speyside Single Malt (48%)

A 10 year old Speyside single malt from South Star Spirits, bottled at 48% vol. It is a vatting of 10 casks, put together to show the character typical of its region, and is one of the label's first three releases alongside a Highland and an Islay. 2,200 bottles were filled, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is clearly fruity, with gentle floral touches, citrus and a hint of ginger. The palate offers syrupy sweetness and toffee-like butterscotch with a touch of sea salt, and the finish fades slowly with cinnamon, baked apple and pears.
