Southern Comfort 100 Proof Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Southern Comfort 100 Proof is a whiskey liqueur made from real whiskey infused with fruit and spices. The recipe is a secret, first created in New Orleans in 1874 by the bartender Martin Wilkes Heron. This bottling is 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The brand passed from Brown-Forman to the Sazerac Company in 2016. Sazerac's 2017 reformulation put real whiskey back at the base of the recipe. The nose is buttery almond and baked peach cobbler, turning fruity and toffee-like with air. The palate is toasty and semisweet, with raisin, peach, orange peel and nuts. The finish is peppery, warm and lingering.
