Southern Star Bottled-in-Bond Rye Whiskey (50%)

Southern Star Bottled-in-Bond Rye is an American rye whiskey made to the standards of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. That means it is bottled at 100 proof (50%), aged for at least four years, and produced by a single distiller in a single distilling season. It has a deep amber colour with golden highlights. The nose combines rye spice, caramel and oak. On the palate it is bold and rye-forward, with black pepper, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, honey, toasted grain, dried fruit and mint. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and sweetness.
