Speyburn 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, matured for ten years in oak and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks. The distillery draws its process water from the Granty Burn and runs both spirit stills into worm tubs. It won a Gold medal at the 2014 International Wine & Spirits Competition.
The nose has orange peel, baked apple, cinnamon, toffee and a little mint. On the palate it is soft and honeyed, with vanilla fudge, apple pie and lemon zest. The finish is short to medium and drying, with oak, liquorice and wood shavings.
