Speyburn – 18 Year Old Single Malt (70cl, 40%)

This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from Speyburn Distillery, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1897 and stands on the Granty Burn near Rothes. It was matured for a minimum of 18 years in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak casks. The tasting notes run to fresh fruit, sweet vanilla, rich oak and warming spice, with orchard fruit, honey, dark chocolate and toasted almonds, and a long finish.
