Speyburn 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Speyburn distillery in Rothes, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky spends 18 years in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and Spanish oak ex-sherry casks. It was first released in 2018 to mark distillery manager Bobby Anderson's 18th anniversary at the distillery.
The palate is honeyed malt and vanilla from the bourbon oak, with dark fruit and gentle spice from the sherry oak. The finish is long and warming.
