Bradan Orach is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Speyburn, bottled at 40% in a 1.75 litre bottle. The name is Gaelic for Golden Salmon.
It is matured entirely in ex-bourbon American oak casks. Speyburn was founded in 1897 and draws its process water from the Granty burn, a tributary of the Spey.
The nose leads with green apple and pear, then gentle malt, citrus blossom and a creamy note. On the palate it is soft and fruity, turning to creamy vanilla, light baking spice and toasted oak. The finish is fairly long and dry, with oak, warm spice, vanilla and dried fruit.
