This is a 22-year-old teaspooned blended malt from Rare Find, distilled in 2003 and bottled at 46.1% ABV. The spirit is drawn mainly from a single Speyside distillery founded in 1892. It was finished for 14 months in a medium charred American oak Oloroso sherry hogshead from Bodegas Barbadillo, a first-fill cask. It is a single cask release of 133 bottles, non-chill filtered and at natural colour. The nose brings crisp apple, poached pear, tinned fruit cocktail and peaches in syrup. The palate continues the fruit with golden syrup and fresh apricots. The finish is long, with tinned fruit giving way to dusty oak and a little white pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
