Spirit Works Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Spirit Works Straight Rye Whiskey is a small-batch, high-rye whiskey from the Sonoma County distillery Spirit Works. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mash is 70% rye and 30% malted barley, and the whiskey is aged for at least four years in full-size American oak barrels. The distillery describes the character as spicy yet rounded. Baked apple, coffee, cedar and leather lead the nose. On the palate come clove, nutmeg, honeycomb, toasted coconut and vanilla, followed by a warm, rounded spice in the finish.
