Spiritfilled Mythical Beasts Glenrothes 34 Year Old Nyami Nyami (70cl, 42%)

A 34-year-old Glenrothes single malt from Speyside, bottled by Spiritfilled as the Nyami Nyami release in its Mythical Beasts range. It comes from a single cask that held oloroso sherry for its whole maturation, and it is bottled at a natural 42% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The nose opens with ripe black cherry and marzipan, moving to candied fruit and creamy butterscotch. The palate is warming and sherried, with dark toffee and vanilla, and the finish carries bitter coffee and muscovado sugar. With water, pineapple and vanilla come forward on the nose, and the palate turns to crème brûlée, orange peel and clove.
