Springbank – 10 Year Old Local Barley 2019 (70cl, 56.2%)

This is a 10 year old Springbank from the Local Barley series, bottled at 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was released in October 2019. The barley used for it comes entirely from the Campbeltown area. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose combines honey, malt, nutmeg, orange, roasted notes, spice and a little charcoal. On the palate there is sweet forest honey, vanilla, pineapple, papaya and passion fruit, apricot, quince, fading campfire, coffee roast and spice. The finish brings caramel, raisins, exotic fruit and a touch of sea salt.
