Springbank 10 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 46%. It matures in a combination of 60% ex-bourbon casks and 40% ex-sherry casks.
The nose combines malt and pepper with a hint of sea water, citrus and the waxy, oily character associated with Springbank, plus a touch of peat smoke. The palate balances sweetness and spice, with black pepper, raisins, a light vanilla note and subtle earthy peat. The finish is medium in length, balanced and complex, with a faint note of shellfish.
