This is a 10 year old Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, a distillery founded in 1828 by Archibald and Hugh Mitchell and still owned by their descendants. Springbank handles every stage on site, from malting the barley to bottling.
This limited edition was distilled in July 2013. It spent six years in refill Bourbon casks, then four more in Palo Cortado sherry hogsheads. The result pairs Springbank's characteristic smoke with the richness of the sherry influence.
