Springbank 10 Years is a Campbeltown single malt in a 70cl bottle, matured for 10 years in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks.
Springbank is a family-run distillery and the only one among roughly 110 active today that malts all of its own Scottish barley. The barley is dried in manual kilns, and the Springbank whisky is lightly peated, at around 8 to 10 ppm.
The nose is sweet, with pear and vanilla and a slight hint of smoke and peat. The palate brings malt, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is sweet and lasting, with a light saltiness.
