Springbank Local Barley is an 11-year-old single malt from the Campbeltown distillery, made with barley grown at Glencraigs Farm, just 4 km away.
It was matured in a combination of ex-sherry, ex-bourbon and ex-rum casks, the rum cask being a distinctive part of this edition.
The nose is full of exotic fruit, with lemony notes and a touch of smoke. The palate is oily, with citrus and Manuka honey, and marine and mineral notes build towards a round, peaty finish.
