This is an 11 year old Springbank matured in Madeira wood, distilled in June 1997 and bottled in January 2009 as a limited edition. It is bottled at 55.1% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sherried at first, then the Madeira comes through with briary fruit, tarry ropes, black cherry and eastern spices, with a little smoke. It is described as a challenging and enjoyable dram.
