Springbank 12 Year Old Batch 25 is a cask strength single malt from Campbeltown, released in 2024 as a limited edition. It is bottled at 57.2% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, in a split of 70% bourbon and 30% sherry.
The nose combines marzipan, smoked meats and a smokiness like burnt matches. On the palate the smoky, earthy note continues alongside pistachios, caramelised brown sugar, prunes and custard. The finish brings sea salt and red apple skin.
