Springbank – 12 Year Old 2025 Batch 28 Cask Strength (70cl, 55.5%)

This is Springbank 12 Year Old, Batch 28 from 2025, bottled at a cask strength of 55.5% abv in a 70cl bottle. Springbank was founded in Campbeltown in 1828 and is described as Scotland's oldest distillery in continuous family ownership. Its single malt is lightly peated and distilled two and a half times. The nose is sweet, with fruit salad sweets, raspberry ripple, dried mango, frosting and dark chocolate. The palate turns to smoked cayenne pepper, crushed chillies, toffee and charred steak. Gentle peat smoke arrives in the finish alongside pink grapefruit, cocoa powder, glazed cherries and salted pretzels.
