Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength is the 2026 release from the Campbeltown distillery, bottled in 2026 at 56.6% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for 12 years entirely in bourbon barrels.
Springbank has been licensed since 1828 and is still owned by J&A Mitchell & Company. It carries out every stage of production, from floor malting to bottling, on site.
The nose is vanilla cream, ripe orchard fruit and coastal brine, with sweet barley and a touch of light smoke. The palate has fresh pear, green apple, honeyed malt and warm vanilla oak. The finish is medium-long, with sweet oak, gentle brine and citrus dryness.
