Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a Campbeltown single malt, the 2026 edition, bottled at 56.6%. It was matured entirely in bourbon casks.
The nose is complex, earthy and mineral, with a little sea salt, dried banana, citrus and a hint of gentle peat smoke. The palate is savoury, oily and earthy, with grapefruit, orange peel and a creamy sweetness of fresh marshmallow.
The finish is long, intense and warming, with cocoa beans, cherry liqueur and salted pretzels, followed by a touch of smoke.
