This is a 12 year old Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is Batch 26 of a limited edition.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: 60% bourbon, 35% sherry and 5% rum.
The nose opens sweet with icing sugar, lemon drops, clotted cream and jam, and dried fruits and demerara sugar follow. The palate is rich and syrupy, with tinned peaches, fruit syrup, honeycomb and milk chocolate. In the finish, subtle peat smoke appears alongside heather honey and orange rind.
