Springbank – 13 Year Old - June 2010 Local Barley December 2023 is a single malt whisky from Springbank (Campbeltown). Aged 13 years, bottled at 54.1% ABV, 70cl. Found in one of the most remote parts of Scotland, the Springbank Distillery is still family-owned. Situated in the western parts of Scotland on the Kintyre Peninsula, it is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company. They also own Glengyle Distillery, William Cadenhead's (the oldest independent bottler) and several other blended scotch labels. They are tough cookies down in this neck of the world where they are one of the last surviving producers of single malt whiskies in Campbeltown. They were licensed in 1828 and at one time the area had over thirty active distilleries. The distillery produces both peated and unpeated expressions under three distinct brands: Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow. All of the barley used to make this 13-year-old has been sourced within the local area of Kintyre, Scotland (as the name may suggest). A much sought-after bottle by collectors and investors. Barley Type: Belgravia Source: Glencraigs Farm Bottled: December 2023 for the 2024 release. This is one of only 8,400 bottles worldwide made up of 60% Bourbon and 40% Sherry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
