This is a 15 year old single malt from Springbank, the family-run distillery in Campbeltown. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The nose has malt and pepper with a touch of sea water, plus hints of crushed fruit and cream. The palate starts creamy and oily, then turns sweet with yellow fruit and sherry, and a little peaty, smoky oak. The finish is medium in length, balanced and complex, with a subtle shellfish note.
