Springbank 15 Year Old Rum Wood is a single malt from Campbeltown that spent its whole maturation in former rum casks. It is bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle, without water added to reduce it, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
The nose is exotic and sweet, with pineapple, banana and coconut, then caramel and marshmallow and a little smoke behind. The palate is full and soft, with pastry, apple, citrus, ginger and nuts, alongside a lightly earthy Campbeltown character. The finish is dry and earthy, with gentle smoke and black pepper.
