Springbank 16 Year Old Local Barley is a Campbeltown single malt made with Prisma barley grown at Low Machrimore Farm on the Kintyre Peninsula. Distilled in September 1999, it was bottled in 2016 at 54.3% ABV, with 9,000 bottles produced.
The cask composition was 80% ex-bourbon and 20% ex-sherry. Its character combines coastal saltiness, gentle smoke, malt sweetness and citrus, leading to a long, sweet finish with subtle spice.
