This is a single cask Springbank from 1972, a Campbeltown malt from the Springbank distillery.
It is an old-style Springbank of the 1970s, and the nose shows honey, apricots and tropical fruit, including pineapple and passion fruit, with a gentle maritime note and a little smoke.
The palate is creamy with a fine sweetness, restrained oak and vanilla. The finish is long, warm and fruity.
