This is a Springbank single malt from Campbeltown, distilled in November 2002 and bottled by the distillery in 2017 after 14 years in former bourbon casks. It is bottled at 55.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, from a run of approximately 9000 bottles, and is a limited edition.
The nose brings ripe apples, juicy pears and sweet apricot, with subtle vanilla, clove and a gentle oak presence. On the palate it is rich and creamy, led by honeyed peaches, with toasted almonds and warming cinnamon. The finish lingers, with soft apricot and delicate vanilla.
