This is a Springbank single malt made from barley grown locally around Campbeltown, released in the distillery's Local Barley series. It was distilled in July 2009 and bottled in October 2018, after nine years in a mix of 80% bourbon and 20% sherry casks. The release ran to 9,700 bottles, in a 70cl bottle at 57.7% ABV. The nose shows ripe pears and dried fruit. The palate brings caramel and honey with a hint of spice, and the medium-long finish carries subtle malt.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
