This Springbank Local Barley is a ten-year-old single malt made from Belgravia barley grown at Glencraigs Farm. It was distilled in May 2011, matured entirely in bourbon casks and bottled in December 2021 at 51.6% ABV. It is a limited edition of 15,000 bottles, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings apple and orange zest, dried apricot, cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak. On the palate are vanilla, honeyed almonds, barley sugar and a little ginger, with a creamy texture. The finish is long, with soft salted caramel and gentle citrus zest.
