This is a 25 year old Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, released as a limited edition and bottled in 2020. Springbank is run by J&A Mitchell & Co. Ltd and carries out every stage of production on site, from malting to bottling.
It is bottled at 46% (92 proof) without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle with a presentation box.
The nose is of brine, coastal air, orchard fruit, vanilla, butterscotch and a gentle earthiness, with dried apricot, toasted oak and a waxy note. The palate is rich, with tropical fruit, caramel, sea salt, toasted oak and a subtle maritime smoke. The finish is long and coastal, with dried fruit, beeswax, salt and vanilla oak.
