This is a 31 year old Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled by Douglas Laing as part of its Xtra Old Particular series, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single cask.
The whisky was distilled in 1992 and matured in a refill hogshead before bottling in February 2024. It was bottled at a cask strength of 46.3% ABV, and the cask produced 176 bottles.
The nose offers gentle oak and a hint of salted biscuit. The palate shows soft peat and freshly milled malt grist alongside maple syrup sweetness, and the finish brings spiced butterscotch and a lingering touch of golden honey.
