A 5 year old Springbank matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 57.1%, which is 100 Imperial Proof. It is lightly peated, distilled two and a half times, non-chill filtered and of natural colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is bright, with green apples, gorse, wine gums, Parma violets, buttercream and peaches. On the palate, peat smoke sits with icing sugar and white chocolate, then tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil, with more smoke than is usual for Springbank. The finish is honey and gooseberries.
