A five year old Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, bottled at cask strength of 57% (114 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and refill casks, and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
Springbank carries out every stage of production on site, including floor malting of its own barley, and has worked in Campbeltown since 1828.
The nose is briny sea spray and damp hay with vanilla shortbread, lemon peel, green apple and a wisp of oak smoke. The palate is rich and oily, with honeyed cereal, orchard fruit, orange peel and toasted oak. The finish is long and dry, with white pepper, sea salt and lingering sweet malt.
