Springbank 5 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at cask strength, 57% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon and refill casks, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
Springbank is made by J. & A. Mitchell & Co., which floor-malts its own barley and distils two and a half times.
Tasting notes describe maritime salt and light peat smoke, with malt and vanilla from the bourbon casks and a bright note of citrus and green apple. The finish is long and oily.
