Springbank – Amontillado Cask Matured 10 Year Old (70cl)

Springbank Amontillado Cask Matured 10 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is the third release in the distillery's five-part Sherry Series, issued in November 2024 in an outturn of 9,900 bottles, and it is non-chill filtered with no added colouring. The ten years are split evenly: five in refill bourbon barrels, then five in fresh Amontillado sherry hogsheads. The tasting notes describe an earthy mustiness on the nose with hazelnut, maraschino cherries and blood orange. On the palate come cured meats, gorse and tobacco box, balanced by sweet coconut and treacle. The finish is dry, with wood shavings and tarragon.
