Campbeltown Loch is a blended malt made from Campbeltown malt whiskies, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and was bottled at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown.
The nose is distinctly buttery with a touch of sea salt, alongside gingerbread and pecan pie. The palate is full, with creamy coffee, salted caramel, date syrup and crystallised brown sugar, and a subtle trace of peat smoke. In the finish the peat smoke grows stronger, and a leathery note develops over time.
