Springbank Local Barley 10 Year Old is a 2022 single malt from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 51.6% in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled in May 2011 from Belgravia barley grown at Glencraigs Farm, close to the distillery, and matured in ex-bourbon and refill bourbon casks before bottling in December 2021.
The release totals 15,000 bottles, filled at natural strength, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.
The nose has malt-barn notes of digestive biscuit, vanilla custard and a developing cherry. The palate is sweet and creamy, with honey, syrup and barley water, and the finish is light and sweet with salted caramel.
