Springbank – Local Barley 10 Year Old 2025 (70cl, 55.2%)

This is the 2025 Local Barley, a ten-year-old Springbank bottled at 55.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The barley was grown on the Kintyre peninsula, a few miles from the distillery, and malted on the distillery's floors. The whisky was distilled, matured and bottled on site, which makes it a wholly Campbeltown single malt. Its casks were 60% bourbon and 40% sherry. The nose offers fig rolls, date syrup, plums and star anise. A savoury side grows on the palate, with burdock, shiitake mushrooms, tamari soy sauce and liquorice, and the finish brings campfire ash and treacle molasses.
