Springbank – Local Barley 16 Year Old (75cl, 54.3%)

This is a 16 year old single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, bottled at 54.3% in a 75cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's annual Local Barley series, a grain-to-glass whisky made only from barley grown on farms close to the distillery. Springbank uses lightly peated malt and ferments for around 70 hours in small larch washbacks, which is unusually long. The distillery bottles its whole production itself, and its malts are non-chill-filtered.
