Springbank – Local Barley 8 Year Old 2016 (70cl, 58.1%)

Springbank Local Barley is an 8 year old single malt distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2024 at 58.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is limited to 13,500 bottles. The barley was grown on the Kintyre peninsula, a few miles from the distillery. It was malted on Springbank's own malting floors, then distilled, matured and bottled on site, which makes this a fully Campbeltown single malt. The nose offers peach, apricot, honey, fresh bread, cloves and peat. The palate is full and creamy with citrus, vanilla, malt, nuts and a hint of sea air, and the finish is long and warming with gentle smoke and cocoa.
