The 2025 edition of Springbank Local Barley, an 8 year old Campbeltown single malt made from local bere barley grown at High Ranachan Farm. It was distilled in 2016 and bottled in December 2024 at a cask strength of 58.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
Half of the whisky matured in bourbon casks and half in sherry casks. The edition is limited to 13,500 bottles.
The nose is described as black pepper, cigar box and sage. The palate brings shortbread and salted caramel, with a herbal note and basil. The finish is long and sweet, with clear toffee.
